Get to Know Your Sewing Machine 1/2 day workshop

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

This workshop is for those who want some help getting going with their sewing machine. Maybe you are a beginner or perhaps you used to sew but have forgotten what to do. Maybe you are thinking of buying a sewing machine or have inherited one and want to learn how to use it.

DETAILS:

During the morning, Steph will tell you about all the basics you need to get going with your sewing machine.

• threading up
• winding a bobbin
• sewing in a straight line
• the tension wheel
• sewing around a corner
• trouble shooting.

You will get a chance to practice and explore what your machine does during the session with Steph on hand to help and advise.

Steph provides plenty of fabric for you to practise sewing with during the session.

MATERIALS THAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

• Your sewing machine (please ensure it works. If you don't have  a sewing machine, it may be possible to rent one from me but please  contact me first to confirm).
